Lenten Supper served from 5:00 - 6:15 p.m. hosted by various church groups.
On Sunday, November 2, many volunteers from our congregation worked at Kids Against Hunger as a part of the “Faith in Action” emphasis. Group 1 packaged 2,868 meals; Group 2 packaged 3,090 meals. A total of 5,958 meals were packaged and will be shipped to Haiti. The door offering collected for this organization the past two weeks amounted to $871.26 and will be used to purchase more food supplies for packaging. Thanks to everyone who generously supported this worthwhile ministry.
The Site Planning Committee has reviewed all the comments made by our membership at the Focus Group Meetings held earlier this Spring, and gave their report to Church Council at its meeting on June 10, 2009. At that time the Church Council approved the recommendation from the Site Planning Committee that we use the free services of a facility consultant through Lutheran Church Extension Fund. This is to help the Site Planning Committee move forward and establish plans to meet future ministry needs.
