The Church exists as a community of caring people of God dedicated to ministering to one another and to the world with God's gifts. The chief gift God gives for His work in the world is His Word.
This Word reveals that the tarnish of human nature, evident in warring, abuse and discord on all levels of life, is the result of sin. The good news, also revealed in this Word, is that God has taken care of the ultimate consequence of this sin, eternal separation from His Holiness, through the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth.
This beloved Son of God invites us to know God's forgiveness and eternal life, and to live as His obedient children until the Day of Jesus' return.
