Mr. Jared Stiek has been assigned as our Director of Christian Education (DCE) intern for the coming year. He will be inducted on July 13. We look forward to working with Mr. Stiek as he begins his ministry at Christ Lutheran at that time.

Confirmation for 29 young men and women will be on Sunday, May 4, in the 10:45 a.m. Divine Service. On Sunday, May 11, also in the 10:45 Divine Service, these same young people will receive their First Holy Communion.

Two Sundays of Special Music and Celebration -- Touch of Brass will be here with us in both morning services on May 4 and May 11. Come and be uplifted by all the special music with organ and brass, as Touch of Brass also helps us celebrate confirmation with this year's confirmands!

V.B.S. 2008 will be held June 9-13 from 9:30-11:45 a.m. at Christ Lutheran School. This year's theme is "Friendship Trek", and will involve a week of learning about the loving relationship we have with Jesus, our dearest Lord and friend. We will need lots of volunteers and lots of kids! Registration for students and volunteers opens on May 4. Contact Pastor Rosenthal, Steve Hakes, or Darlene Davis for more information.
