Assimilation Committee
This is a relatively new ministry at work in Christ Lutheran and is of special importance to those who have recently joined the congregation. The Assimilation Committee's purpose is to help welcome new members into our midst, and involve them in the life and activities of the congregation.

Board of Christian Nurture
This is the Board responsible for overseeing the growth and development of Bible studies for all ages, the curriculum for the Sunday School program, Vacation Bible School and VBS camp, as well as the training and placement of lay teachers in various positions as needed.

Board of Education
The Board of Education consists of seven members of Christ Lutheran Congregation and representatives of Grace Lutheran and Our Savior Lutheran Church. They oversee Christ Lutheran Day School, located at 511 South 5th Street. The school cares for children's spiritual and educational needs from preschool through 8th grade. With a faculty and staff of approximately 30 workers, a Christian, caring learning environment is provided for each student, with a wide variety of class options and activities offered to benefit the students.

Board of Elders
This Board is responsible for assisting the pastors in all matters pertaining to the spiritual welfare of the congregation, and maintaining discipline within the congregation according to Scripture, the Lutheran Confession, and the doctrine of the church. The Board of Elders meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

Board of Evangelism
The Board of Evangelism is responsible for maintaining the congregation's outreach and mission of sharing God's Word with others -- not just withing the congregation -- but in the community. Evangelism members may make calls on members as well as visitors in our midst to encourage them in their worship opportunities and spiritual needs. Board of Trustees
This Board is responsible for the proper maintenance and repair of all church property and adjacent facilities, overseeing the purchase of equipment, supplies, and needed improvements. This Board also enlists volunteer workcrews as the need arises for special repair, cleaning, painting and other projects. The Board of Trustees meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday.

Board of Stewardship
The Board of Stewardship is responsible for encouraging the congregation to maintain faithful stewardship of their time, talents and gifts throughout the year. At various times throughout the year an additional focus is made on Stewardship to re-emphasize the ongoing importance of this aspect of our worship life with the Lord.

Braille Workers
Lutheran Braille Workers have been in operation at Christ Lutheran for 30 years. Now consisting of nine working groups, with nine or ten workers in a group, Christ Lutheran's Braille Center currently prints Psalm 1, Psalm II, Revelation, and Leviticus. Books are sent to Africa, India, Mexico, Cuba, Guam, and elsewhere in the United States. Work is done every Tuesday and the third Monday of each month.

Human Care Board
This group oversees funds collected for assisting the needy in our community with such things as food, utilities and medical care. The Human Care Board is also responsible for the Angel Tree Prison Ministry program during the holidays.

Ladies Circle
This ladies group meets on the third Thursday of every month for a devotion/Bible study and a business meeting. They are also affiliated with the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Their service to the congregation includes serving receptions and assisting at funeral luncheons and overseeing other gatherings of this nature. These ladies also contribute to various mission projects within the congregation and elsewhere.

Lutherans For Life
This group meets the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Their primary focus is to promote the sanctity of human life. Each life was created by God and every individual is valuable to God from conception to death.

Music Ministry: Choir, Handbells, and Special Music
The special music provided by the handbells, instrumentalists, choir, and other vocalists is an added blessing to the worship services here at Christ Lutheran. If God has given you a special musical talent, don't hesitate to share it with others.

Priscillas
This ladies group is associated with the Lutheran Women's Mission League. Meeting on the second Tuesday of every month for Bible study and a business meeting, this group does service projects at the Rescue Mission, Orphan Grain Train and the SMILE program.

S.O.S. (Servants of the Savior)
An arm of Lutheran Hour Ministries, S.O.S. raises funds to help support mission work throughout the world, as well as right here in our own community. They meet the third Tuesday of every month.

Stephen Ministry
MISSION STATEMENT: Christ Lutheran Stephen Ministry involves all God's family in sharing their God-given gifts by providing a servant's love and support for those in need of care in a distinctively Christ-like way.
Stephen Ministry seeks to be a living presence of the caring Christ to our congregation. Stephen Ministry is a one-to-one ministry by trained and caring Christians that seek to bring Christ's healing love to people who are lonely, grieving, new parents, ill, or experiencing other stresses in life. An in-depth training course is offered for members who desire to become involved in this life-changing ministry.
