Starla Landkamer Starla R. Landkamer was born to Raymond and Hilda Krehnke in 1955. A lifelong member of Christ Lutheran, she attended Christ Lutheran School and Norfolk Senior High School, graduating in 1973. Starla went on to further her education at Northeast Community College, later transferring to Wayne State College. She graduated from Wayne State in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. For several years, Starla was employed in retail stores. Prior to joining the staff of Christ Lutheran, she served as the administrative assistant to the president and general manager of Affiliated Foods. Starla began work at Christ Lutheran in 1992 as a church secretary. This was also the year she was united in marriage to her husband, Jerry. The couple was blessed with the birth of their son, Thomas Michael, in 1994. As administrative assistant at Christ Lutheran, some of Starla's main responsibilities include working with membership records, preparing worship folders and weekly bulletins, and general correspondence. She was trained as a Stephen Leader in 2004 and oversees the Stephen Ministry program at Christ Lutheran. Starla also works with many couples preparing for their marriage in her position as wedding coordinator. Music also receives some of Starla's attention. She has served as one of the church organists since 1973 and sings with the contemporary service group, Joyful Sounds. |
